Over the last few months, I've been redesigning and rebuilding everything I do at CDO School. This email might not seem that different from the others I send out, but it is.

In addition to my long-form writing, I'll be sharing short-form emails every M-F that include "WYSIWYG" in the subject line. WYSIWYG emails will be links to articles, videos, resources, etc. that have helped me

We should all thank Barbara Minto for introducing SCQA to the world 60+ years ago.

12 years ago, I read Dan Hill's excellent essay Dark Matter and Trojan Horses and it completely rewired my approach to leading design.

Learn Business, apply it to design, and win. A complete toolkit to master the tactics that work on any stakeholder: the ones who decide without you, those who see design as polish, and the execs asking you to "prove it."

When Design is mostly delivering perceived value, and not enough real value, Jon Schlossberg argues that design doesn't deserve a seat at the table.

That’s it for today. Feel free to reply and share your thoughts. 👋

P.S. If you enjoyed this and want more of it, sharing it with others on LinkedIn, BlueSky, Slack, email, etc. is the best way to help.
